We hope this new project will benefit families in the school community. In order for this scheme to work we need donations of unwanted uniform to recycle.
The scheme led by Tadcaster and Rural Community Interest Company and Tadcrafters, and in partnership with Chalks School Shop and Tadcaster Grammar school EcoSchools club, this new initiative seeks to take in old uniforms and offer them to students at no cost as a way of recycling clothing. The project will be hosted at The Barn in Tadcaster (formerly Manor Farm Youth Centre) and has already started receiving donations via Chalks school shop. The Barn is on the corner of St Joseph’s Street and Leeds Road. Old items of uniform will be repaired and refreshed as needed by Tadcrafters, and then offered to parents through the summer holidays, starting in July 2020.
Please bag up any items your student may have grown out of and either drop off at The Barn or at Chalks school shop.
