Today, after 10 years of operation as a Company and 4 years of growing The Barn into the Hub we envisaged, we now see new opportunities for taking our work to the next level by growing our relationship with a set of Key Sponsors. Could that be you? Our Vision for the future is encapsulated by the following 3 key objectives:
To secure the sustainability of The Barn for future generations by ensuring it is financially viable and independent of the need for ‘core’ public sector support. We will do this by investing in the fabric of the facility to make it attractive and accessible to all who wish to use it, thereby maximising its use and revenue generation; and by attracting investment from all sources.
To embed the Company in our communities as the ‘can do’ organisation, leading the way on the regeneration and renewal of the town through ‘generous leadership’ and strategic thinking, for example in relation to neighbourhood planning, supporting the revitalisation of the high street & its’ business community and growing our unique youthwork capacity.
To work within the community to develop the resilience of the town to future emergencies and to lead the way on developing this capacity and capability as the central Community Support Organisation, enabling delivery by Local Authorities and others, ensuring that the most vulnerable in our communities are supported in times of need.
